Laser Hair Removal Vs Electrolysis

Laser hair removal vs electrolysis has been a question that has been going around for a number of years now. Electrolysis is something that came before laser treatment and is still used today as many people opt for it, because when they hear the word laser it kind of scares them away. They think about movies where they see the damage a laser can do and think that it will happen to them the same way. This is just not try.

What Is Electrolysis

Electrolysis is one way to removal unwanted hair from the body. this method has been widely used and still used today even though many people are starting to get away from it. Electrolysis inserts needles into the hair follicles and gives it a shock to kill it. One of the problems with this method is you must do each hair individually so this could take you some time especially if your working on a big area. The other drawback it that sometimes that shock causes a redness around that area that usually vanishes after a few days or weeks.

Many people will tell you it can be very painful especially if you have a big area to do. Time is another problem as doing each individual hair can take several appointments to get totally done. This is why many people are giving laser hair removal a try.

What Is Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is much more easy and a lot less pain. Laser technology is used to concentrate on the hair follicles with an intense laser to kill the follicle eventually and render it useless and it dies. This also helps stopping it from growing in the same area again. People love this type of technology as you can do large area\'s and the pain is a lot less than with electrolysis.

The only thing that you must do with laser hair removal is follow whatever orders your doctor have requested of you. Tanning and the sun can have an effect on it so some precautions will need to be done after you are treated for hair removal. Besides that laser hair removal is one of the more efficient and cost effective way to remove unwanted hair from your body

Which Is Better

The great debate of laser hair removal vs electrolysis will continue you rage I imagine for may years to come. The key will be what you expect from each one. People like both methods and some swear by one method over the other one. Electrolysis is more painful and it does take longer to get the hair removed, but people still have it done. Laser hair removal is much quicker and less painful, but not everything is known about it so apprehensions exist about it. I guess in the end the laser hair removal vs electrolysis will continue to be a conversation that people will have a very long time. In the end though it will be the consumer who decides which process they choose.

Overview

Everyone has their opinion about the laser hair removal vs electrolysis great debate, but it all comes down to the individual. Getting the hair removed is really all you want done and both methods work well. This means both will be around for some time. Laser is the newest technology and that won\'t change anytime soon it seems. Hopefully in the future doctors will come out with a recommendation, but I don\'t look for that to happen so the great debate may rage on forever it seems.

For people it comes down to whatever removal they feel most comfortable using. I guess that\'s all really matters as it\'s an individual choice anyway. I look for the process of laser technology to get even better in the coming years so electrolysis could be a tough sell in the next decade. I guess time will tell if that comes to pass though.
