Health Education
Health education is a social science that draws from the biological, environmental, psychological, physical, and medical sciences to promote health and prevent disease, disability and premature death through education-driven voluntary behavior change activities.
Health Studies considers the human experience of health, illness and disease from a wide variety of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives, such as psychology, sociology, biology, nutrition, social policy and ethics.
Health education is in the news; it is a high-profile topic for national government, local authorities, health authorities, and educational agencies. Yet budgets are often tight, and with public interest in the subject growing all the time.
Health Education Trust is a UK registered charity, formed to promote the development of health education for young people in the UK. The Health Education Trust is dedicated to initiating and supporting work with young people (children and teenagers, young adults, students, pupils) to encourage the growth of healthy lifestyles.
