| Everything You Want To Know About Facial Masks |
|
When I was a teenager, I used facial masks all the time. At least once a week. Facial masks are great for teenagers or anytime before that when the skin start showing signs of acne. It is a great way to start a beauty regimen for young girls. Some store bought facial masks have a brush in the lid to apply the gel. When the gel dries, you peel off the mask. There are also masks that when they dry you rinse off with lukewarm water. Facial masks always leave your face feeling soft and smooth and you may even notice a bit of a glow.
How Often To Use a Facial Mask
Some beauty advisors recommend using a facial mask at least three times a month. I have always used one about once a week. After all week of using make up day in and day out a lot of us use a gentle soap and water or a cleansing agent. However, even though you skin may feel clean there is still a lot of make up residue left behind that\'s why I say use a mask once a week. Always follow with a moisturizer after using a facial mask. It is even preferable to use a lotion that balances the skin before applying moisturizer.
Facial Masks for All Skin Types
No matter what skin type you have oily, normal, and dry or combination there is a facial mask for your skin type. Every type of skin needs tender loving care whether you use make up or not. There are so many pollutants in the environment that land right on your face. Ever had your face feel very gritty and you did not have any make up on? That is why. When you use facial masks on a regular basis the pores on your face stay unclogged and even the tiniest of blemishes disappear. There are also rehydrating masks that you were at night as you sleep.

3.Pin your hair up or tie it back.
4.Wear a top that exposes the neck area.
During
Do not use your fingers when applying facial masks. As I mentioned before most facial masks come with a brush or some type of applicator. Fingers can bruise sensitive skin on your face.
Apply facial masks by brush or applicator using small short strokes. Do not cover the under eye or lips areas as these areas have very sensitive skin.
Leave masks on for 20 minutes to dry. Check hollows make take a bit longer to dry. Remove mask by rubbing from the face and neck with a warm washcloth.
If you use a peel off mask rinse with lots of lukewarm water.
After
After removing facial, mask rinse skin with lukewarm water.
Use a skin balancing lotion if the pH balance of your skin is off balance.
If you skin is balanced follow by moisturizer.
Tips on Buying Facial Masks
If you have dry to normal skin, you should buy a nourishing facial mask. If you have oily, skin or greasy in some areas use a clay mask which absorbs the oil and grease. If you have good skin except for a few blackheads here and there, use a grainy type of mask. This will exfoliate the blackheads. Since I used them when I was a teenager, I highly recommend peel off masks. They are quick and easy and all you have to do is apply moisturizer afterwards.
Tips and Warnings about Facial Masks
For those of you with combination skin a mud mask can work wonders. Apply the mud mask to the T zone, which is the center of the forehead, nose, chin and cheek centers. |
