Hair Loss In Men

Hair loss in men is probably the number one thing that they wish their was a cure for. The majority of men know that one day they could be the one that starts to go bald so getting this problem solved as quickly as possible is something they will try to do. Men take pride in their looks and this many times means they will try and kind of treatment to get the job done. Through the years men have even went as far as spraying their heads with a dye to block that bald spot on their head. This just shows you how important hair to them is and covering up bald spots.

How To Treat Hair Loss

Through the years their has been many different ways that people have treated men\'s hair loss. Some worked very well while others failed miserably. Let\'s take a look at what is available today and if it\'s really worth your time or just their to get your money. One of the first things we need to clarify is not every treatment will work for everybody. It\'s just the way it works. Some will take to certain treatments better than others. This happens on various factors that people just can\'t figure out.

Medication is still the number one way to treat hair loss in men. Finasteride is recommended as a treatment and comes in a pill form. It\'s usually in a high dose than most other medicines so you get the maximum benefit from it. It should be taken continuously or until your doctor tells you to stop taking it.

Maybe one of the biggest and best products that has shown great response at regrowing hair is Minoxidil. This product you apply to the scalp usually twice daily and around 60 percent have seen hair growth with this. This is probably the most popular product out on the market right now.

Plastic surgery isn\'t just for women anymore. More men are getting plastic surgery and one area that has seen a giant increase is replacing lost hair. Their are many ways to do it including scalp reduction, flap-surgery, and of course transplant. Let\'s look at these a little closer.

Scalp reduction is a very useful technique that has seen some success and some failures. It\'s just one option that people have tried to cure male baldness. Transplant is probably the most famous out of the three and definitely the most popular. It takes hair in good sections and transplants it to a balding area. This though is a double edge sword though. Sometimes this process works while many times it doesn\'t. It\'s just a chance you take and many people are willing to give it a shot that\'s for sure.

What\'s Next For Men

Many men are trying to figure out which is the next move for them. A lot of times many men are going to surgery to replace hair while others believe in the pills and the creams. Either way hair loss in men is very big problem to the male sect and probably will continue to be. The options right now are really limited especially if you have tried everything and nothing seems to work. Their are always new innovations coming out, but the one thing people sometimes forget is not everyone is a candidate for a new product. Each individual is different so this doesn\'t mean everyone will see results with the next new thing. It\'s just how it works and I look for that trend to continue for a very long time to come.

Hair loss in men will continue until we figure out what really causes it and that problem hasn\'t totally been figured out just yet. We have some very good ideas. but nothing we can exactly put our fingers on. Once we do we should than be able to provide more effective ways to stop men from losing their hair. Hopefully on day we will, but it\'s going to take time that\'s for sure.
