Supplements are becoming an even bigger part of our life than ever before. No wonder hair loss and diet are closely associated with each other.  More and more people are including uch things as vitamin biotin, copper, zinc,protein, vitamin A, vitamin B, iron, and water in their diet. Most people don\'t realize that a good diet can prevent hair loss and also make your overall health so much better.

Hair loss can be prevented with calcium and iron. Some of the items that have calcium, iron are cherry juice and dried fruits are the main source of these. Getting as much of these in your diet is a good idea to slow down hair loss. Women who have hair loss many times may signal a sign of gastroinestinal tract. Many women have a deficiency in zinc, protein and other nutrients which could be causing the problem in women.

Tips To Stop Hair Loss


Sometimes hair loss and diet are construed as just having a low-fat diet. Many scientists have found out that hair loss in men is tied to increase in the levels of testosterone during the puberty stage. The reason this is important is because it may affect the hair follicles. Anemia is the main reason for hair loss so diet really will have a very big impact on it. One way to stop this is by eating a well balanced diet. The nutrients from the diet can help stop hair loss as it strengthens that hair and makes it grow. This diet should consist of iron-rich foods and whole grain cereals, eggs, raisins, dates and vegetables. It comes down to when your mom told you to eat your fruits and vegetables she was correct.

Protein is useful in preventing hair loss. Diets that are rich in protein seem to do well in preventing hair loss. The diet can include brewers yeast and wheat germ. The one word of caution is  - don\'t over do it. When a doctor tell you to get more protein in your diet many times we think more is better, but we go past that and this isn\'t good at all.

Silica is also something that you can use. Organic silica is added to shampoo and has been found to do wonders in stimulating your hair and help in growth. The key is keeping the scalp healthy and when the body is healthy growth of hair is also more likely. The value of vegetables cannot be stressed enough. More vegetables in your diet can help a great deal, as there are so many nutrients in them.

Vitamin E is also necessary for healthy hair. Many people don\'t realize how important the diet is and hair loss. Many people see success when their diet changes and they start eating properly. Vitamin A is also a vitamin that you should have in your diet. For the most part most all vitamins are important, but some need to be taken in moderation.

Things To Avoid

Vitamin A is great, but don\'t overdo it. Getting to much Vitamin A is something that you don\'t want to happen. The other thing that you need to remember is to avoid tobacco and cut down on alcohol consumption. Both can have an effect on hair loss. Everything in your life can make a difference in hair loss & diet. Always remember that hair loss & diet are very important factors that should be taken care of.

People should also avoid salt and animal fats. Fatty foods are something that people should avoid. The more fat you get into your diet seems to cause some hair loss. You will need to be leery of that. Also remember everyone has a different body makeup so hair loss will also vary widely so keep this in mind when making a diet program up on your own.
