Perfume is simple to make with a few quick ingredients you will be able to create your own fabulous scent in no time. All you need is Vodka or Alcohol, some essential oils and water. Find a few quick formulas of great aromas and viola! You will be ready to wear, ship, sell or distribute your own signature fragrance.
Many creators of perfume are inspired by dreaming, traveling, reading and smelling scents around them. The making of perfume is sometimes too compared to musical notes, since perfumes are composed of three notes. Notes of the head, heart and depth. Each note has its own scent; however they blend together with the other notes to create a unique smell.
Perfumers travel all around the world to create that perfect scent that they get inspired by. Some creators develop scents from flowers that bloom only once a year or exotic rain forests. A lot goes into the process of creating that perfect scent, and once it is bottled it often gives off its own emotion.
If you want to make your own perfume the main ingredients would be
Vodka
Distilled or spring water
Essential oils
A quick recipe would be to add oils and vodka together but stir slowly, give it enough time for the oils to disperse. On average you should let the concoction stand for about 48 hours. Once the 48 hour cycle is over add water and stir again. If you want stronger scents let the perfume stand for 4-6 weeks. Now all you have to do is go get a pretty little bottle with a touch of your personality on it and bottle the sweet smelling aroma and use it for whenever you feel like. A night on the town or after a lovely bath.
The great thing about creating perfumes from home, most likely you will be working with natural oils, therefore working with natural oils you should be less likely to develop any type of chemical or allergic reaction, but be very careful since everyone’s body type is different.
There are different types of formulas that you can choose when creating a scent, you can look for certain formulas via the internet or go to your local library and find books on how to create perfumes. Making perfume is a fun process that can be utilized by ages 5 and up. So if you have that entrepreniual spirit, learn some different type of formulas and make some unique scents. There are a variety of different types of scents to choose from, some people like musky scents, while others like floral scents. There are a lot of different types of scents such as woody, leathery, or floral amongst others but those are some of the popular scents that are used in the process of perfume making.
One can get inspired to make perfume from the environment around them, if they live in a nature filled world with a lot of plants, trees and flowers. They can go out into their environment and just inhale the natural scents of the flowers, they can personally hand pick flowers and test them out with other flowers and essential oils to create the perfect scent for their personal use or even to start their own business. |
