Toothbrushes for kids are more attractive and smaller in size than the ones for adults. This will make a child to perceive it as a toy and hence they will be encouraged to use them to brush without any difficulty. You should also change your tooth brush after some time like after 2 weeks you can also change it at the beginning of dental illness and after healing. This will protect your teeth from re-infection by the micro-organisms that might have built p in the toothbrushes. You should be careful with the place you are storing your toothbrush. For instance you should not store it where flies and other organisms can have access to; like in the bathroom. The best place can be in your bedroom.

Manual toothbrush is made from soft nylon and some other synthetic materials. These are used in making bristles. The handle and head is made from a hard plastic material. Electric toothbrush came as a result of the ineffectiveness of the manual toothbrush to remove plaque and bacteria. The electric toothbrush has rechargeable battery that supplies them with power to rotate. The latest one is a chewable toothbrush that contains xylitol flavor, aqua and gelatin. You need not to use water and paste when using it since xylitol is an element mostly used in chewing gums. This makes it easy to chew. Its disadvantage is that it contains gelatin that is not suitable and not chewable for vegetarians |
